What Documents Do You Need for Plasma Donation?

Prepare for a Smooth First Donation

Before you take part in this life-saving process as a plasma donor, it’s important to make sure you have all the necessary documents with you.

Why Are Documents Important?

Plasma donation requires not only good health but also proper documentation. Providing the correct documents ensures:

  • Verification of your identity and eligibility.
  • Compliance with health and legal regulations.
  • A fast and efficient donation process

Required Documents

The list of required documents is short, but it’s essential to have everything ready before visiting the plasma center. You will need:

1. Valid ID

You must present a valid identification to confirm your identity, such as:

  • National ID card
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license (depending on the center’s requirements)

Tip: Check that your ID has not expired.

2. Address Card

The address card verifies your permanent or temporary address, which is important for donation-related administration.

Important: Please visit the plasma center corresponding to your place of residence for the preliminary screening. Once registered and cleared, you can donate at any of our centers.

3. Health Insurance Card (TAJ Card)

Your health insurance eligibility must be verified with a TAJ card, ensuring you meet medical requirements and are eligible to donate plasma. In place of the TAJ card, a European Health Insurance Card is also acceptable.

Tip: If your TAJ card is lost or damaged, request a replacement as soon as possible. Without it, you cannot donate plasma.

How to Prepare

To ensure smooth registration, keep all required documents in one place for quick access. Before your visit, check:

  • That all IDs are readable and valid.
  • That your address card information is correct.
  • That your TAJ card is available.

Extra tip: Create digital copies of your documents. Plasma centers require originals, but having copies can help if anything is lost.

BLOOD PLASMA

Blood plasma is a source of life-saving proteins used to produce specialized and irreplaceable medicines. Since these proteins cannot be artificially reproduced, plasma donations are essential for people suffering from such diseases.
