in three simple steps
Step 1Eligibility Screening
The process begins with registering your personal data, where three key documents are required: a valid ID card, address card, and TAJ card. After that, you complete a short questionnaire followed by a thorough medical examination, during which a blood sample is taken. It is important to note that plasma donation does not take place at this stage. The laboratory analysis of the blood sample takes about one week, and the results determine whether someone is eligible to become a plasma donor.
Step 2Plasma Donation
When you visit us again, another short questionnaire and medical check will be conducted. During this, we check your basic health indicators: body temperature, blood pressure, pulse, hemoglobin level, and body weight. Regular monitoring of these parameters also helps protect your health. The actual plasma donation takes approximately 60 minutes on average. The duration may also depend on how much fluid you consumed before the donation.

What is blood plasma?
Blood plasma is the liquid component of blood, a yellowish fluid. This part performs the "courier service" of the bloodstream: it transports red and white blood cells, nutrients, and essential substances throughout the body. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the necessary parts of the body, white blood cells fight pathogens and help heal injuries, while platelets help stop bleeding.
Why is it important?
Plasma donation can be life-saving, as medicines made from donated plasma are used to treat serious and often rare diseases such as bleeding disorders and immune system problems. Plasma proteins are used to produce many essential and life-saving medicines for patients. The contribution of voluntary donors is crucial for improving patients' quality of life. Plasma donors therefore help not only individuals but the entire community.
Who can donate
plasma?
Plasma donation is possible for people who are between 18 and 60 years old, healthy, and have a body weight between 50 kg and 150 kg. First, we conduct a medical examination and blood test to make sure everything is in order. If the initial test results are satisfactory, during the next visit we perform another medical check, questionnaire, and other necessary assessments before approving the plasma donation. The plasma taken during one donation is reproduced by the body within two days, therefore at least two days must pass between two plasma donations, meaning the next donation can take place on the third day, but no more than 45 times per year (365 days).
What is
plasmapheresis?
Plasmapheresis is a special medical procedure in which plasma is separated and collected from the blood. The process is similar to blood donation: blood is taken from the donor's vein, and a special machine separates the plasma from the blood cells. After separation, the useful blood cells are returned to the donor's body. The procedure is not painful and feels no more uncomfortable than a standard blood donation. By donating plasma, you can help improve the lives of many patients—just as with whole blood donation.
